We have decided to seal the radar transceiver in a clear over-mold. This will provide the intended environmental protection for the device and will also allow for the visibility of a newly added status LED that will indicate power and comm when the unit is initially powered up.
For connecting the device to the CAN bus we have chosen the TE 2106056-8 connector, also encased within the product over-mold, which will latch and provide an IP67-rated seal.
AlphaHive will maintain an inventory of mating connectors as necessary to assist with order demand.

We have rigorously tested various adhesive methods for securely attaching Fathom to the tank surface and have determined that 3M 300LSE meets the need. As Fathom is deployed on the tank roof-top there are few opportunities for displacement, but this 3M adhesive tape has allayed any concerns that we had.
